History
Daughter of Phorcys and Ceto, sister of Euryale and Medusa, Stheno is a gorgon whose gaze can turn any whom meet her gaze into stone.
During the story Gods of Gotham, Deimos sent her to hunt Donna Troy. In her pursuit Stheno turns Carl, Donna's partner, into a statue. Stheno is defeated when Nightwing beheads her with a batarang on the instructions of Donna. Nightwing then used Stheno's severed head to turn the false Angel of Darkness to stone as she threatened Donna. Placing Stheno's head in a bag, the two seek out help from Dr. Fate & Zatanna, in the hopes one of them can bring Carl bring back to life. Later, Diana (Wonder Woman) posits that perhaps the Purple Ray can undo the damage Stheno inflicted on Carl.
