History

Cronus was the youngest and bravest of the group of beings known as the Titans of Myth - children of Gaea the Earth and Uranus the heavens. Although the Titans of Myth enjoyed god- like status, Gaea had other members of her brood that were ugly looking monstrosities, and Uranus banished them to the pits of Tartarus.

Gaea then persuaded Cronus to kill Uranus and release the rest of the brood. Cronus completed the first part of the pact only, and then, instead of releasing the brood, he and his fellow Titans created a paradise of subservience on the Earth.

However, Cronus feared an oracle which foretold that his own children would rise up against him, so he swallowed each of them as they were born, except for Zeus, whom Rhea had saved. When Zeus reached manhood, he freed both his siblings and the brood from Tartarus, and together, the Olympian Gods and their allies overthrew the Titans of Myth, imprisoning them in pillars of stone in Tartarus.

Thousands of years later, Thia and Hyperion managed to free themselves, and with the help of the Teen Titan known as Wonder Girl (Donna Troy) they managed to free Cronus and the others as well. The Titans of Myth then set out on an assault against Olympus, and after two epic battles in which some of the Titans of Myth were killed, Zeus invited the surviving members - including Cronus - to live in peace with him inside the walls of Olympus, and they accepted.

After a few years, Cronus began to crave power again. Leaving Olympus he began to set events in motion to regain the throne, and control of the universe. Cronus spawned a new breed of far more deadlier Titans and began his plans. Ready, he returned to Olympus a few years later to oust Zeus from power for himself. Hoping to rule the universe once more. Cronus set the Olympian and Hindu pantheons against one another in an epic war of the gods. He unleashed his terrible children - Arch, Disdain, Harrier,Oblivion, Slaughter, and Titan - upon the unsuspecting Earth.Powered by the Godwave, he then turned his direction against the other gods of earth, particularly against the Zeus.
